What We Do
Thinkersmith is a new, state-of-the-art, nonprofit organization that provides computer science education without pretension or intimidation.
We know that a world full of people staring into computer screens is not a healthy aspiration. At Thinkersmith, we believe in balance. We truly believe that people should learn to balance pensive moments with active moments, self-improvement with philanthropy and the enjoyment of resources with environmental conservation. You'll see these ideals presented in the way we teach, the way we inspire and the way we practice.
Learning computer science may feel like a daunting task, but we take the terror out of the subject by presenting it as a passion, rather than just a curriculum. We've done away with lecture style classes and choose instead to teach through example, activity and intuition.
